Size: 4′.8″x3′.0″ (142×91 cm)

The abrashed light blue field shows three ascending columns of lightly stylized palmettes in ivory,black,red,yellow,navy and green.The piece is dated 1251 four times and is further decorated with squares,pendants,diamonds,boxes,color samplers and plantar forms.The rich navy main border displays a bold tradition of the regular Kufesque pattern with brackets and rosettes in red and yellow.The ivory minor borders both show floating barred S’s.There are four red lines in the border system.At each end is a beige plainweave band followed by knots.The wool is soft and so is the handle.All the colors are from natural sources.The pile is high and the piece is in good condition.
