The beautifully abrashed moss green field displays three repeats of the characteristic St. Andrew’s Cross pattern with four small triangular floral elements converging on an ivory rosette in each defined reserve.In addition there are small leaf and rosette sprigs in each lozenge shape sections.The blue of the inner border flows without interruption into the ivory wave pattern outer stripe.Red and pink roses and carnations decorate the inner border.There are touches of yellow and blue in the main border as well as a notable abrash:these are quite desirable among connoisseurs.At each end is a blue soumak finish line.The handle is soft and pliable and the wool is velvety.All the colors are from natural and vegetable sources.The piece is in good condition.SOLD
