The ivory field hosts a complex lattice uniformly enclosing floating rosettes.Up the center is a broken line of blue floral elements, and there are pairs of pomegranates. In addition there are several small animals in the field. The rusty red main border presents interlocking triangular motifs and is flanked by meander motifs in various colors. At one end of the outer border there is an abrash which changes from yellow to burnt orange. The piece has incredible colors including aubergine. The red selvedges are intact. One end has a braided warp band. The weave is fine and compact. The rug is in good condition including the high pile.
