The dark blue field displays a large version of the classic Persian Herati pattern detailed in ivory,red,green and light yellow.The narrow ivory main border is decorated with discrete stylized flowers and is flanked by ivory minor borders with an attractive leaf and palmette design.The weave is fine.The warp is wool and because most Senneh kilims come with cotton warp this is a rare feature. All the colors are from natural sources.The condition of this charming piece is good.
