This small format Perepedil rug hosts a navy ground with the characteristic ram’s horn motif as well as an octagon,stars,snowflakes,dragons,and lazy S’s.In the four corners of the field are very attractive mosaic pattern elements.The navy Kufesque main border displays rosettes and brackets.The outer keyhole reciprocal minor border in red and light green is balanced by an inner red ribbon frame.There are seven barber pole lines in red and white and black and blue in the border system.At each end is a narrow plainweave band.The white cotton selvedges are intact and original.All the colors are from natural sources.The piece is in good pile and condition.
