Kuba rug from eastern Caucasus,west coast of the Caspian Sea

Size: 5′.3"x3′.5" (160×104 cm)

A concisely proportioned trellis frames an allover pattern of colorful rosettes,on the madder ground.Small connected diamond devices are arrayed along the field edges.The ivory main border has multicolor stylized rectangular stars and is flanked by an outer stripe banded sections and an inner bitonal keyhole reciprocals.Additionally there are two barber pole lines as well as two red and one brown solid lines.The knotted ends are essentially intact and are preceded by narrow blue soumak finishings.The colors are good and vibrant.The pile is good and so is the condition except for some minor wear and the blue selvedges need some attention.SOLD
