This very fine Kuba district rug shows a close variety of the characteristic ivory arabesque/lattice overall pattern accented by stylized flower forms.Filling in are lazy S’s,small diamonds and dots.The attractive green main border hosts and ivory Kufesque pattern with rosettes and brackets.It is flanked by black and blue keyhole reciprocal minor borders and there is an innermost border with connected colorful diamonds motif.There are four plain lines in the border system and at each end is a knotted warp net.All the colors are from natural sources.The rug is in good condition including the blue cotton selvedges.
