The dark blue stepped pole medallion has four lozenge panels and anchor tenials, all on an attractive madder ground. The center employs other smaller interesting devices. The blue main border connects rosettes with a thin black vine and is flanked by ivory and yellow minor guards with ribbon like design. All the colors are beautiful and from natural sources and the rug is in very good condition including the flatwoven kilim ends.
