This attractive southwest Caucasian high pile rug shows reversing pattern of hooked and photogenic diamonds in various colors.There are four up the center of the field and three half lozenges at the sides.The color palette includes:shades of blue,shades of red,ivory,green,yellow,brown and black.The triangles in the field corners are further adapted from the main decor.The classic ivory main border employs a star and bar pattern,and is flanked by blue and black reciprocal triangle minor borders.There are four barber pole narrow lines in the border system.In addition an innermost quincunx band is present.The dark brown selvedges are original and at each end is a warp macrame band.All the colors are from natural sources and the piece is in good pile and condition.
