Hamadans share with Sarabs a penchant for natural camel colors in their plain borders and internal ornaments. This iconic example has two pendanted hexagon medallions on ivory surrounds with similar fractional medallions around. The medallions have a fill of flowers floating freely. The main border has a red ground on a floral lozenge trellis pattern. The upper and lower field panels differ in shape and size, adding to the village character of this weaving. The condition is good and the full camel ends are present.
