The red field displays characteristic pointed pent roof designs enclosing hooked and serrated rectangles.At the center is an ivory stepped and tabbed medallion enclosing additional serrated rectangles,a central madder cruciform,and finally an octagonal center.There are numerous multicolor Memling Guls,small octagons and lesser geometric elements neatly filling the field.The ivory main border displays slanted leaves and stylized plants.There are two red and ivory barber pole narrow lines present.At each end is a broad madder flatwoven band modeling the broad selvedges.The handle is soft and pliable.The rug has vibrant colors.The pile is good and so is the condition except for some minor problems around the center medallion.The rug is being restored professionally.SOLD
