Bordjalou Kazak rug from southwest Caucasus

The extremely bold ivory zigzagging meander shows an unusual charcoal,red,blue,navy,blue/green triangles in the reserves.The attractive red field shows three semi-conforming hooked lozenges in ivory,blue and blue/green.At the center of the medallions are lazy S’s,hooked elements and a quartered box.In addition there are several lazy S’s in the field too.Further ones and boxes appear in the main border.The inner and outer minor borders both show reversing triangles in blue,charcoal,navy and red.There are four red and white barber pole lines in the border system.All the colors are from natural sources.The black color triangles in the main border is very rare and sought after by connoisseurs.The piece is in good condition.
