The distinctively abrashed green ground hosts a rosette,knot,palmette,leaf,lazy S’s,squares,dots,botehs and diamonds.Aubergine,burnt orange,light blue,red,old ivory,rose,dark blue,ecru and shades of green are among the important colors.The characteristic blue and white Zeikhour wave border surrounds an inner red and rose classic Kuba stripe and around the outside edge of the field is a triangle border except at the top end where becomes a yellow barred S pattern.The blue flatwoven side cords are intact and at each end is a blue soumak strip followed by a knotted warp finish.The wide range of colors including four shades of green is extremely rare in Zeikhour weaving.All the colors are from natural sources.The piece has a soft and pliable handle.The condition of this great piece is good.SOLD
