This textbook example of a Zeikhour has five floriate St. Andrew’s Crosses on a blue field. The pattern is actually infinite. In each lozenge reserve is a rosette with additional floral elements. This combination is repeated in halves along the sides of the ground. The yellow color is extremely lively, unfaded and appealing. The matching blue main/outer border has a definitive version of the Zeikhour ivory wave pattern. The inner border,in red and rose, displays an extended S pattern.Unusually, the wide flat selvages are green and the knotted net at each end is complete. All the colors are from natural sources. The rug is in good condition.SOLD
