This striking classic ivory ground double St. Andrew’s cross design Zeikhour rug is detailed in shades of red,shades of blue,yellow and ivory.Each arm of the crosses is filled with tiny colorful botehs.In the field are numerous stylized flower motifs and there are colorful triangles partially edging the field.In addition,there are lazy S’s,rosettes,small botehs and other interesting elements.The double main border consists of:the outermost section displays the characteristic ivory wave or running dog design on medium blue;the inner abrashed green frame hosts floating red rosettes and ivory florets.The innermost blue minor border displays flower chains in red and yellow.At each end is a warp macrame strip.The weave is tight and the handle is pliable.All the colors are from natural sources.,The piece is in good condition with minor reknottings here and there.
