Transcaucasian runner

Size: 9′.3″x3′.1″ (282×94 cm)
This is an extremely colorful runner with an exceptionally wide natural dye palette including burnt orange,shades of red,blue and green,yellow,burgundy,ivory,dark brown and an attractive natural camel.There are five hexagonal medallions in the field alternating in ivory and red,with central nested diamonds in various color combinations.In addition there are tiny cloudbands in all the panels.The triangular side fillers include pairs of smaller triangles.The ivory main border has colorful repeating stylized medallions and is flanked by an outer two tone blue and dark brown keyhole reciprocal and a striking interlock polychrome S pattern on a burnt orange ground.There are four barber pole lines present.The wool quality is superb,the handle is soft and pliable and the weave is fine.At each end is a beige wool plain weave followed by long knoted warp tassels.All the colors are from natural sources.The rug is in good condition.SOLD
