The ivory field is decorated with multicolor leaves, palmettes, flowers and other smaller elements. The leaves form cross-like motifs similar to Caucasian Zeikhour rugs. The dark red main border employs hooked devices also seen in Caucasian rugs and is flanked by blue and ivory minor guards with connected leaf motifs. There is a couple of black and white barber pole lines surrounding the main border. All the colors are from  natural and vegetable sources including the beautiful aubergine. This example is shorter than most of its type which are in runner formats. The ends are original including the kilim finishings but the selvages are missing. The field has evenly low pile and there are e few worn spots.
