The honey field displays a stepped offset five column red lattice enclosing beautifully colored lozenges.Along the sides are combs,a boteh,quincunxes,triangles and other elements.The ivory main border shows floating ashiks with filler triangles in several colors.In one area of the border is a panel with a date of 1298 above which is a dark brown section with a red animal.The color striped minor borders are part of a system including six bitonal barber pole lines.At one end is a narrow flatweave strip and followed by the remains of knotted warp nets at each end.The handle is soft and pliable.All the colors are from natural sources.The condition of this charming rug is good with even pile in the center.
